Ingredients

For the garlic vinegar dip

  • 1 cup Vinegar (cane, coconut, or white)
  • 6 cloves Garlic, chopped Chunky or fine as you like
  • 1 teaspoon Crushed black pepper or peppercorns For a little zing
  • 1 teaspoon Salt Or substitute with fish sauce for umami
  • 1 tablespoon Chopped chilies Optional for spice
  • 1 tablespoon Soy sauce Optional, for extra depth

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a bowl, combine vinegar, chopped garlic, crushed black pepper, and salt.
  • Stir in chopped chilies and soy sauce if using.
  • Mix well and adjust seasoning to taste.
  • Serve immediately or store in the fridge for up to a week.

Notes

This dipping sauce pairs best with fried tilapia and can also be used for grilled meats, seafood, or even vegetables. Customize the heat level by adjusting the amount of garlic and chilies used.
