Ingredients

  • 2 cups shredded cooked chicken Use rotisserie chicken for ease
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced Fresh ginger for flavor
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, minced Fresh garlic for flavor
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce or fish sauce Adjust according to taste
  • 1 cup chicken broth Add for moisture

For the rice

  • 3 cups cooked rice Jasmine rice recommended

Toppings

  • 2 tablespoons crispy garlic For added crunch
  • 1/4 cup green onion, chopped Fresh for garnish
  • 1 each calamansi or lime For a tangy finish

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a saucepan, combine shredded chicken, ginger, garlic, soy sauce or fish sauce, and chicken broth.
  • Gently simmer over low heat until heated through and flavors meld.

Serving

  • Place cooked rice in bowls.
  • Top with the shredded chicken mixture.
  • Garnish with crispy garlic, green onions, and a squeeze of calamansi or lime.

Notes

Store chicken mixture separately from rice to maintain texture. This dish can be prepared in advance and stored in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
