Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ground chicken Can substitute with ground beef
  • 1 medium Finely chopped onion
  • 2 cloves Minced garlic
  • 1 medium Grated carrot Optional for sweetness
  • 2 stalks Finely chopped green onions
  • 2 tbsp Soy sauce
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • 1 Egg Helps bind the filling; optional
  • 20 Lumpia wrappers
  • as needed Neutral oil spray or a little oil brushed For crispiness

Instructions

Preparation

  • Mix your filling ingredients in a bowl.
  • Perform a quick taste test by cooking a small spoonful in a pan.
  • Preheat your air fryer for about 3 minutes.

Cooking

  • Fill lumpia wrappers with filling and roll them tightly.
  • Air fry at 375°F for 10 to 14 minutes, turning halfway.
  • Let them sit for 2 to 3 minutes before serving.

Wrapping

  • Lay a wrapper like a diamond and add filling near the bottom corner.
  • Roll to cover the filling, then fold in the sides and continue rolling.
  • Seal the edge with water or beaten egg.

Notes

Lumpia is great served with dipping sauces like sweet chili, spicy vinegar, or garlic mayo. Consider freezing uncooked lumpia for future snacks.
